cranking speed sound normal?

Is the cranking speed you hear on this video normal for a TII?

87 TII compression - YouTube

If I do about 4 or 5 consecutive starting attempts I'll get one faster cranking speed as in this video. When the engine cranks at this faster speed along with no start signal to the ECU's pin 3B, hot start is not an issue and the engine starts almost instantly. The compression at the faster pace is near 95 psi on all rotor faces. At the lower cranking speed compression might see 80-81 psi and hot start is an issue.

The starter is an Autozone rebuilt .

hard to say from a Youtube video.

The Mazda starters are reman as well. It should be better than an autozone one, hopefully, but I'm not sure if you'll notice a difference if the autozone one wasn't dead.

The cranking speed can be affected by battery voltage and oil viscosity. I would think that poor compression would actually turn over faster. Think about how fast the engine turns when it's flooded.
