NC Crank Angle Sensor Drive Gear Help

Hey guys, got the engine back in my 88 GXL and everything ready to be put back together, Looking for a little info on which way the CAS in the rotary is supposed to turn while the engine is cranking. I think I may have put the drive gear in backwards, causing the CAS to be royally screwed. I've heard if it's in backwards either your CAS will turn the opposite direction or the timing will be way off. can anyone answer this question for me? If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

there is no way to put it in backwards with the way the gears are on the drive gear (lines up either way)
