Question Coolant level sensor connector is this suppose to be grounded or connected to another

Ok heres whats going on in my NA 86 13b. The add coolant light kept coming on. I bleed the system and it stopped. This week it Now I stays on all the time. I looked at the Rad, the resevoir, and all hoses and there are no leeks. The filler cap (adjacecent to the thermosat housing) sometimes releases coolant, I'm not sure if it from pressure or what. But here is what i don't understand. Is the cooland level sensor wire (The wire extending from the black hex shaped bolt like nut on tope of the rad, next to the rad cap on the left side) suppose to be connected to something or is it supposed to be grounded to the car frame? If so mine is not and would this stop the cooland level sensor from busy my FvCking brains out. Please help I have looked at every diagram on the coolant system out there and I don't see where the coolant level sensor connector should go. Please Help BTW I plan on changing the theremosat this weekend anyway.

Thank you in advance cause I know you guys will have great input on this issue...

I hate that buzzer with a passion. Ya your sensor should be grounded to like a screw somewhere on your car's frame.
