coil over plug conversion

Has anyone attemped this conversion? Is it possible? They're used on newer Ford mustangs. Each pulg has a coil on top of it. Could this replace the older direct fire method? Just thinking out loud.

AFAIK no-one has done this on a 13b. The stock system is just fine for normal use so I don't see the point.
