checking rotors through spark plug hole

You think I would be able to tell which rotors I have by sticking one of those little cams down the spark plug hole?

A bought an engine years ago because it had good compression and I needed a replacement. He told me it was an s5 t2. After reading on the forums I can tell it has s4 housings, rear s5 t2 iron, s4 t2 intake manifold, and plastic thermostat cover, which I believe is a s5. You think I will be able to tell if its a machined rotor by looking at the face of it?

it really depends on how much carbon buildup there is, if the pocket is covered with carbon it is nearly impossible to tell.
