Changing coolent problem !!!
I changed a coolent today.... and i want to know, did i change it correctly... First, i drain all the coolent then close the drain plug and put the pressure tester to withdraw the air in the engine. And then, i start the engine with the coolent cap open and turn the claimate control to hot and turn on the fan, afterward about 10-15 mins, the coolent blow out from the hole like volcano and still let the engine run until the fan on and the coolent suck back to engine, then i fill up as much as coolent i can and close the pressure(coolent) cap. Afterward, i drive my car for couple block and come back to check one more time...... i found out it has a lot of air inside the engine while i open the pressure cap little by little, then i wait until the air gone and fill up as much as coolent i can , then i close the cap. So i want to know did i do it right..... because the coolent will not blow out from the hole or radiator ordinary.... i just curious about that ??? thax thax thax Rotary member......^.^
Another way to burp the air out of the cooling system is have the climate control on hot but the fans not on and then take off the coolant line on the back of the throttle body and just keep topping up with the coolant/water at the filler neck. Might need to do this a few times.

even though you drained the radiator, there is still coolant in the block. Gotta open the drain plug on the driver side of the block. Sounds like the thermostat opened and the coolant from the block shot out.
It may take a few times to fill the system. The pressure tester doesn't suck out all the air cause between the time you take it off, reach for the coolant and start filling it, air goes back inside unless you have a pressure tester that creates a vacuum in the system and lets you pour coolant through the tester. Never saw such a thing.
