Question catastrophic engine failure please help.

My 7 hasn't been driven for at least three months and I can't take it any more. I've been driving my 96 Ranger 4Cyl. It has a manual, but it's just a work truck....I need to drive the 7. The last time I tried to crank her up, the battery power was low and the engine flooded. It lost all compression, I assume due to the apex seals getting slicked over with oil and gas. This has happened before, and I shot a little oil into each cylinder to wet the seals. She cranked right up after that, but felt a little low on power. This time I tried that, and the car won't even crank. It is getting spark, and the fuel lines are fine, but the starter turns the engine over very fast, without much strain on the starter, and the audible sound of the rotors turning can be heard, but there is no compression. There is a lack of the sucking sound all-together. Is there some way that I can restore compression to the engine without tearing it down and replacing the seals. I only paid $1500 dollars for the car, and don't want to spend too much on the car. How difficult is a rebuild, if there is no other way to get up and running? How expensive? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- Derek

Sounds like a candidate for the ATF trick.

please elaborate on the ATF trick????

I assume that you flood the cylinders with ATF and turn the engine over without spark plugs, then put the plugs back in and fire her up, but you know what happens when you assume. Can you give me more specifics? Thanks
