carb help

hey guys whats up i got a 82 gsl about 6 months ago and the previous owner removed the rats nest and stuff but the problem is i don't think the secondarys on my carb are opening now i looked at how it was reged up and it had some zip ties conecting the primarys to the secondarys so they would open mechanicaly but i was driving home tonight and when i got up to 50mph it was acting like it was on choke or something so i pulled over and saw that one of the zip ties had broken i was wondering if anyone knows what i could do to make the sec. open mechanicaly but something a little more efficaint then zip ties

you can make a bracket that holds itself together via bends... on the secondary lever, and the throttle cable brackets...

it should if i remember right look something similar too....

yeah thanks but i reworked the zip ties for now i want to get a new set up anyway this just gives me another reason
