Unhappy Car dies when I back up

After 20-30 mins or regular driving (not spirited or boosting the engine over 4k rpm) when I am arriving home, trying to back up into the garage, the car shakes a little and dies. My car has been pampered and i took great care of it, could it be any known problem? But after the car cools down a bit, maybe an hr later, I was able to fire it up right away and was able to back up again? Could it be my car overheating or what? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
