Can anyone tell me what this part is?
Tried to search but didnt even know what to search. I could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Im dropping my engine off to be rebuilt and didnt know if i should take this off or not.

That's an electric oil metering pump. I'd leave it on, as the rebuild kit has a new oring for it being mounted to the front cover.
