Question Building an engine from scratch

I'm working on a rotary engine redesign, and I need to get it prototyped.

Anybody here know of any place in or near Pennsylvania, that is capable of custom machining parts of a wankel rotary, including the housing?

Not in the PA area but I know people who do this kind of work. What are you talking about as far as designs. Materials, tollerences, general shapes?

I'm bumping this thread because as of a few months ago, I'm now living in North Carolina (Raleigh area).

Good luck trying to find someone in your area or even here in the states. Rotaries aren't that popular as a whole here compared to other countries. Racing Beat has made custom aluminum side plates. I don't know if they did them in-house. I would try to contact some people in New Zealand. They make custom e-shafts and a couple other things. If anything make sure the company you end up finding really understands the engines basics.
