broken window
someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!
my passenger window switch doesnt work at all, even when the passenger switch is swapped to the driver side.
when tested with the voltmeter it says that there is power until button is pressed.
the switches have been replaced numerous times. any clue as to what it could be.
the car is a 1990 S5 Vert. i would like to roll the windows down along with the top every once in while =[

First, Does the driver side passenger Power window button work?
Second, Test the harness and check if you receive a 12v of power when you press the button down, and 12 volts when pulling up
Roll up the window with another 12v+ battery and wires to the motor to see if the motor itself retrieves the power from the battery to roll it up. That will give you an idea of the condition of the motor.
and Third Check the driver's side lock out switch for the power window.
When the driver's side switch works and the passengers doesn't, chances are that the lock out switch contacts in the drivers switch are dirty or burnt and this causes the problem because The drivers switch provides the ground circuit for the passengers switch.
#1 The drivers side passengers switch contacts are bad
#2 The driver's lock out switch contacts are bad
#3 the passengers side passengers switch contacts are bad
#4 or the motor is bad.
#5 the door wiring is bad
If the drivers side worked at some point (or still does work), but the passengers switch does not, then only #1 or #2 applies.
