bov ????

i saw an rx-7 drive by me the other day and it had a diffrent sounding bov. i liked it alot but never herd one like it. it makes like 3 or 4 sounds when it blows off one time. it not like a normal pssssh sound that all the others have, it wasnt as loud but i like the consecutive sound it had. wondering if anyone knows what kind of bov it is or one like it.

Were the consecutive sounds varying in tone? It could be compressor surge like in the GT1 Porsche but for a 7 to have it, its BOV would have to either be nonexistant or failing. For you to hear it from a distance, it would have to be running pretty strong boost levels too.
