Thumbs up BNR Stage 3 Twin Turbo setup

I am currently planning my build for the BNR stage 3 twin turbo setup rather than going to a single turbo setup.

My goal is to make 400hp minimum. Does anyone have the knowledge or past experience on the BNR twin setup. My current mods are:

Apexi N1 exhaust w/ Megan Downpipe
Apexi Power FC w/ datalogger
Greddy FMI
Tial BOV
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Greddy Intakes
Petit AST
Koyo Radiator
Stage 3 spec clutch

I am considering the following added mods:

Walbro 400lph Fuel Pump
Cj Motorsports Fuel Rails w/ 850cc Primary and 1300cc Secondary
HKS Twin Power Ignition
AEM Truboost Gauge/ Boost Controller
AEM EGT Gauge
and of course BNR Stage 3 Twin Turbo.

I am looking to stay with the sequential format, however if anyone has any feedback on the non-sequential setup compared to the sequential please try to persuade me into the non-sequential with the mods you used and the hp you gained plus the satisfaction the non-sequential setup up gave you.

I will be going to this setup in the spring and will be purchasing the turbos in the near future to start the build. If anyone knows of a thread in the forum please link me to it so I can further my knowledge on this setup.

I appreciate all the help and I am looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

Thanks,
Mark

Good luck with that Mark... 400whp as a minimum is kinda laughable.

You'll need water/meth injection, you're probably going to want more injectors, your EGT gauge is borderline wasted money (unless you're logging dual sensors with the ecu its just another gauge to distract you) ESPECIALLY if you're checking egts after the turbos.. expect to run 20+ psi with a damned good tune to scratch 400whp.

If the rest of your car isn't up to snuff expect to break things.

If your goal is a minimum of 400whp and you're even considering non seq turbo setup it sounds like you'd be better off just going single. It is very difficult to hit 400 whp with any twins since the stock manifold is so restrictive, it just wasn't designed to have flow to make that kind of power so you'd end up having to run a lot of boost to hit the number. Your engine will be much happier with a properly sized single turbo at 12-15 psi making that power all day long with lower AITs. You'll lose some driveability power in the lower range compared to the seq twins though.

This is why I wanted to make this post. I don't know much about them, and I wanted the suggestions. I have been told it was the better, cheaper option to make around 400hp. I wasn't aware that I'd be breaking things and it would be maxing the boost on those turbos. I do know that 21 psi is about the max the bnrs produce and it leaks to 19. I appreciate the responses guys.

Also, I am aiming for 400 I shouldn't have said a minimum of 400. I'd say that 375 would be my minimum.

Yeah, I wouldn't chase 400whp on twins if you're looking for A) longevity, or B) on any sort of a budget.

I've only really seen one person (I would consider highly reliable) break over 400whp with the BNRs, that was GoodfellaFD3s WAY back in the day...

I chased the same goal (high horsepower sequential BNRs) several years ago and ended up dropping all the same mods you would add for a reliable single setup, I ran mine up to 19-20psi and managed high 380whp... Then my motor started losing compression and I had to rebuild it.

If you're looking for spool, reliability, and around 400whp you're better off just biting the bullet and getting a QUALITY single turbo kit running a smaller frame turbo.
