block off plates??
Hi
I have an 87 t2 and i am tired of having vacuum leaks and poor idle. Where can i get block off plates and how should i install them is there a guide on them? Also i have heard if i dont install them right i can blow my engine is this true??? thanks

www.ebay.com. remove the hardware, remove the smog shiet, and put the plates on.
i never heard of neone blowing there engine because of not having block off plates.

The last time I looked, the vacuum rack is fed from......ONE.....place. Why not just cap off the one nipple that feeds vacuum to the rack? We're talking about a 3.5mm piece of hose plugged at one end and put on the ONE nipple that feeds the vacuum rack.
Or just buy some aluminum and cutout your own *blockoff* plates using whatever item your blocking off for a pattern. That and a drill and hacksaw. Gasket paper is less than three bucks at an auto store.
