I'm trying to figure out why I have gas in my oil, can any one shed some lite on this PLEASE!!! its in a 86 n/a fc series 4. I was told that it might be my apex seal but I'm hopping not.

it is not the apex seals... it could be your oil control rings, oil control rings have the task of keeping oil inside the rotor and out of the combustion chamber... does your car flood a lot and/or burn oil???

yes

yes 1 quart every 2 days, but this just started 2 days after I did my oil change. but it hasn't burned any oil since the change a week ago but I now have an oil leak that reappeared from two years ago thats comming from the oil filter housing, I've never had a problem with it flooding its f.i.

not an easy fix. the rotary will always have a little gas in the oil but if it smells like too much gas then your oil control rings are going bad and that needs a rebuild. losing alot of oil means also that your oil control rings are bad. see b4 ur oil change oil creeped past your rings and burned off now for some reason the leak is going the opposite direction and your gas is going into your oil and pressurizing your oil system causing your reappearing oil leak. make sense? rebuild or ignore the problem and get thicker oil.
