Best way to get ATF in your engine?

what is the best way to get nice even coat of ATF into your engine to aid in compression?

*one guy suggested the large vacuum tube from the dynamic chamber to the oil injectors.(I'm doubtful this will get into the engine)

*another guy said squirt it into the spark plug wholes( messing and not even coating in my opinion)

*??? how else can this be done?

thanks!
Dave

I've never heard about the vacuum tube thing.I heard the ATF in the spark plug hole works just fine. Just spray a good amount in there, turn the rotor so the next side is showing, and do the same for the last side of the rotor. You have to let it sit for a few hours though. And after you start it, get ready for tons of smoke to pour out of the exhaust.

I just pour it down the intake runners while rotating the engine.

What I used is one of those plastic gear oil pumps from the auto parts store. It has a long plastic hose. I took a formed piece of vacuum hose from my other engine which had a perfect 90 degree bend. This made it easy to direct the oil straight into the plug holes. I had my friend bump the engine over as I squirted the oil in. It worked out perfectly and as another person told me, cranking the excess out of the plug hole helps minimize the excess oil.

Good news, the engine got enough compression to start, it smoked alot for about 5 minutes, it ran very rough, misfiring alot, not idling and sounding like only one rotor was running.

After 5 minutes I drove around the block and suddenly the power came on and the misfiring and smoke went away! The engine runs very strong now, starts on a dime, and idles well.

This engine failed all compression tests, it would appear to the unexpecting person that this engine was "blown" on the apex seals or side seals. However, now it runs great and seems like the ATF and spinning up the engine helped free up the stuck rotor seals.

Thanks!
Dave
