back fires then dies
my fd just keeps dieing
after about 15 min. the car just turns off,,,
but if i give it gas the car back fires and then turns off....
its not overheating... i dont think 85c is as hot as it gets.
any ideas?

I had a customer who had a car that would turn off after about 15 mins from a cold start. It was when teh fans were coming on, it was caused by a wire in the front harness grounding out. Will the car start back up when hot and run another 15 mins then cut off again?

the car will start back up,, if it didn't flood from just dieing...
wiring was a big problem with this car.. so i will have to look back over all my wires..
i'm going to do a compression test to make sure that the motor is not blown... the car just seems that the idle is high like 2k and it back fires, (small puffing backfire)
