Anyone ever remove the clutch pedal spring?

I just got in a heavier clutch and really dont really like the way it feels. It's hard to modulate and feel the friction point now. Yeah I know it'll take some getting used to, but I'm thinking it will be better if I remove this spring in the clutch pedal. Then it'll feel more natural. Anyone ever done this before?

I have a 93 FD FYI

while I've never had to deal with a pull-type clutch, I can't imagine the pedal spring having anything to do with how heavy the clutch "feels". even with a pull-type it's more likely to be related to the pressure plate. what clutch did you have installed?
