any1 w/rebuild experience of smog air pumps?
my FC's w/87K miles has just started to sound not right.
my opinion rebuild units aree a bit too pricy.
why, isn't just a matter of replacing the bearings?
what's involved in a rebuild?
suggestions please.

People are getting rid if these all the time,so I would be opting to just find a "good looking" used one.
I did take one apart, and it is quite the gadget inside.Sort of reminds me of a 3 bladed Centrifugal Moulinex mixer!
the thing has seals on the inside that sit up against the casing and the blades revolve in a housing something like the Engine( a little oblong sort of thing).
I did get it back together again and working but honestly, all the time and effort could have been spent elsewhere.
