Any thoughts on apexi avc-r?

Is a boost controller just a boost controller, or is there something i should be looking for when it comes to choosing one? I like the AVC-R, but am wondering if the bandwagon knows something i'm missing with Blitz's boost controller..

i like the avc-r due to the fact u can change boost per gear
