anodizing aluminum

I was wondering if it was possible to anodize the outside surface of the rotor housings. i dont want to turn them into scrape if its not possible but think it would look cool under the hood if it can be done. thanks

can't be done, the aluminum goes into a tank and any aluminum surface that is 'wet' by the electrolyte solution will be annodized.. however before you could actually do the annodizing you'd have to remove ALL non aluminum parts from the housing , which means the pressed in feeder ports and such.

So no, you can't just do one surface.
