I hear a good amount of noise coming through my stero when im driving from the alternator,. I heard there was maybe an easy fix for this,. or am i going to have to rewire the whole stereo system?

assuming you are talking about a full system with AMP's. if not be more specific.

when you installed the stereo did you run the RCA cables and the power cables running together to the AMP? Did you run the cables separated? Ie. power cables one place and RCA cables thru another. If you routed them together your going to always get noise thru the speakers and you need to rewire it. if this is not the case you can buy RCA AMP filters and this will take the noise away. hope this helps.

i think its just an aftermarket head unit in the car, and the stock amp/speakers, no sub and amp. so i guess i gotta get a the filters then.

Well if your power has noise and the radio doesn't have a power filter you may get some noise.

I had a amp that'd not make any noise, i got a cheap amp same config (old one was stolen) and I noticed at low vol with amp on I could hear my engine "rev" literally to the redline (Sounded like a rotary rev too LOL!) I'm guessing the amp lacked a power filter as the whole wiring was the same
