Ok..You put it in.What happened after that Sounds like you have an AIr LOCK in the Cooling system. You should Try this.Start the car.Take the rad cap off.Have the car Warm up.Put the Heater on,FULL BLAST.that will get the coolant circulating through the Heater Core. When the Engine's Thermostat Opens,The Coolant Level will rise..Hopefully while it is doing that the Car wil Start Burping Air out of the cooling system and Out of the Filler Neck.Squeeze the Lower and Upper Rad hoses a couple Times to try to "manipulate" the coolant to Cavitate and then flow so that the air hopefully gets pushed by the Sudden "letting go" of the hoses..Once you FEEL sufficient Heat in the Car's HEATER and Defroster vents, and you have looked at your TEMP Gauge to make sure that the Car's Temp is above the COLD(that would mean the Thermo has opened..Gauge is reading above C..)then fill the Cooling system From It's Highest Point(would be the Cap on the Thermostat Neck)..then CAP the System,Check it out for leaks..Go for a drive.check for leaks..Once you are satisfied with the Results, then you shut it Down,Wait a couple hours and Check the coolant When COLD..add if needed...You are NOW done!.your coolant should be Good,Your Level good.no leaks, and lots of Heat!...Hope that helps you..STYX!~
