ABS light and electrical problems
ABS light and electrical problems
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a wierd problem I encountered. I have a 1993 FD. Long story short - I was driving and rolled down window. It got a little cold so I tried to close it. The window switch did not work. Noticed that the ABS light was on and that the other window switches did not work either, including the sun roof switch. AC/fan switch did not work. Car was running and radio was working. Gauges were working. Went home, parked the car, and took a quick look under the hood. Left vehicle and checked it again several hours later. Turned on ignition switch and everything was fine. I did notice that prior to driving and after starting the car that the "beeping" noise sounded different. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

lone star state... so there shouldn't be corrosion - but that's all I can think of. A bad ground connection could cause multiple systems to go out at once, and vibration or temperature change can make the problem come and go.
Are you on the coast (salt air corrosion) or has the car been flooded before?
Don't know if that's any help, but you have to start somewhere.
