need help from someone who knows what i might be experiencing i took my 91 rx7 i took it to mazda shop had it put on a machine it came up with the air flow meter and the oil metering pump so i replaced both of them still doing the same thing when i first start driving the car it run ok but if i get on it the check engine light comes on and acts like it is flooding out but if i slowly push on the gas it will be ok like i said unless i give it lot of gas it back fires and bogs down almost dies blew a muffler out already it dont have a catalytic converter. new iol metering pump is still not pumping oil like it not getting any power is there anything i can do?? please help me thank you

Either the pump is bad or the sensor for the pump is bad... If it's not pumping, then you got a bogus pump... In any case, what's happening is the ECU is throwing the car into "limp mode" because it doesn't detect the OMP signal... Get a new OMP and try it again... Make sure everything is hooked up right... Oh yea and this should be in the 2nd gen tech section...

 

I had the same problem. Wound up being the ecu.
