88 GSL had bad apex?
I bought this a year ago and one apex wasn't sealing. Time, easy driving and "greased lighting" brought it back to life. HAd a thumping thing going on around 3K but now I've put 9,000 miles on this "blown engine."
I nearly ran it out of gas couple weeks back I put 16.1 in a 16 gal tank. 1/2 way through the tank it suddenly on a rainy day after driving around and stopping then doing a short hop it wanted to buck at 4K-5k unless I was easy on the gas pedal. Just feels like it's lacking fuel. BUT I was able to push this thing up to 8K (out of frustration) which it wouldn't do before. It use to buck widley around 6500.
I think it's starving for fuel so I'm going to replace the filter. Also ran some Lucas injector cleaner in it. Starts fine, idels good and drivers like normal unless I go and push it.
Sound like a clogged filter to you? This car drives great otherwise.
