Unhappy 87 oem ecu question high or low impedance injectors?

hi

I have a question, I have an 87 t2 and i cant get it to run right(compression is fine) fist i could get it to start but never idle so a friend told me that was because the guy who biult my car bypassed the injector relay resistor box and put high impedance injectors into it. and it car ran fine just wouldnt idle. so than i went to a wrecking yard and pulled another early 87 t2 engine wireing harness and reinstalled the resistor pack and put low impedance injectors into it but the injector clips broke off so i solderd new ones on and i might have goten them mixed up none of the colors match the wiring diagram. But now anyway heres the quesion i have 1 person telling me that the ecu see's high impedance injectors nomater what so as long as i bypass the resistor box with high impedance injectors ill be fine but i have person 2 telling me that that i need to have that resistor box with low impedance injectors or the einge will not run right i have now put low impedance injectors in and the new harness and the resistor pack and the car will not stay running it will just to 1k rpm and than just die on me but when i had the high impedance injectors i could keep my foot on the gass and rev the car to keep it going.(the biuld date of the car is 04/97 is its an early 87 t2.) what do you guys think thanks

the ecu sends out current equal to operate high imped. injectors. Yes you do need the resistor pack to use low imped injectors or they will cook themselves down the road. If you decide to run with high imped injectors then you will need to bypass the resistor pack and change the injector clips because they will be different OR save yourself time and get an S5 harness that way you don't have to do much.
