83 non turbo 12a Rx7 help needed
I just got this Rx7. It's my first Rx7 and rotary experience. Soo.. the car was sitting for 15+ years. The car was stopped from running because it had gotten water in the back rotor or closest one to the transmission. Well for starters I tried turning it over to see if it would start.. but when I crank the switch it makes a 'clak' kind of sound and doesn't turn over. What can I do to get it running again? Should I just swap over to a 13b? Much help needed here thanks in advance to any one who is willing to help.

welcome to the board.
if water got into it that many years ago, the chamber is probably rusted to itself. 12A or 13B is your call. either way it won't be a 1-2-3-fix because this engine has to come out. a 12A will obviously drop right in, so it might be the way to go if you can find one or if you care about keeping the car inline with it's original state. a 13B may be a little easier to find, but it will require some extra parts (expense) to make it work.
