I have a 73 rx2 coupe with an early stock rx7 12a. But it seems to be running hot (around 210), I'm still running the original rx2 radiator which having a 12a in there previously I would have thought would be up to the task? Have replaced the thermostat, flushed coolant, put on a bigger Mishimoto electric fan - all which helped a bit but not enough. Should I get the standard radiator rebuilt? Or if new one, what do you guys recommend? (would love to keep it black & fitment wise not have to hack anything up)

how long has this been happening?

is the car new to you? maybe try conducting a pressure test of the cooling system and see what's what there.

 

Thank you!! I've owned about a year, but haven't driven it properly yet - was sitting for about 7 years or so before I bought it, so have been going through a bunch of things/flushing everything out but not sure what's going on with this one. Will look into the pressure test, thanks!

 

Does anyone have recommendations on a nice radiator to fit in an rx2? Really don't want to go the cheap ebay style route
