It should have been written in cyan, lol. I read it as his (not so subtle) way of saying that the OP would likely be more welcome in a different car community.

But yeah... 1000/1000 injectors will make you fall flat on your face if you're hunting that much power. 1600 secondaries *might* get you there, but 1000/2000 is a better bet.

Also, I have no personal experience with walbro pumps, but I've read enough bad things about them that I wouldn't chance it. I'd go, instead, with dual Denso pumps, or a Denso intank and a Bosch 044 inline.

And.... Water injection is a def good idea, however 100% water is not the best idea. Pure water and pure meth are both inferior to a 50/50 mix of both.

Oh, and I wouldn't even consider a 2bar map sensor, I'd go 3 or 4 bar as you'll want to push up to our around 30psi most likely.

Honestly I'd say save money on the street port and put it towards a better (aquamist) injection system or a motec ecu (m400 or m84). Messing with the porting will change where your powerband is and potentially make your car slower in a street setting. As you (should have) learned from your "multiple porting" thread, porting is really only "needed" so that N/A applications can flow more air. Turbo applications have a turbo, off you want more air flow just turn up the boost!

Oh.... Then update the rest of your car so you're not driving around a piece of shit with a good motor.

Before you know it you can easily spend $20k in your little unicorn hunt (I've spent around 50 over the last 6 years to learn and get where I am now, but then again I haven't cheaped out or cut corners).

Ppl always recommend supra pumps too

fendamonky 03-31-12 03:47 PM

Supra pump = Denso pump

Ain't even know lol, I think pretty much everything has been covered, appreciative it

Wouldn't 400-600hp in an FC be pretty much useless without some super fat rear tires and a bunch of supporting mods? (Like a dog box, chromoly half shafts or even a different rear end, etc.) I would be afraid of popping transmission bearings, drive shaft, differential, stub axles, half shafts... If I could even get the power to the ground!

400 WHP, no, 600 flywheel, yes. Probably.

I know a guy who races a 450-ish flywheel horsepower FC. AFAIK he uses a stock transmission? He does have pulled fenders with I think 255 or 265 in the rear, with pretty low offset wheels and spacers. But compared to the price of building an engine in that sort of power range, that's pretty minor. I do think I heard the diff blew up once though... but that might have been someone else's FD. I will have to ask. Apparently the engine (Panspeed) was built for about 500 HP but they tuned it down because it was too hard to drive.

Definitely no problems putting it to the ground though.

I've found that e85 is the answer, and its not so close to rocket science as people make it LOL

You were told wrong.... This is an involved setup to build reliably. There is nothing cheap about a 600whp rotary.

About $15-20k done right.

Engine ported, and doweled. (REW engines are better)
Twin disk clutch/ 6 puck
Good tranny
Stand alone (Haltech Sprint RE)
A larger frame turbo (GT42, HKS T51, etc)
Proper manifold & wastegate setup
ID injectors 1000/2000
Dual Aeromotive Stealths
FMIC
Cooling mods in check
CDI ignition and proper coil setup
Water injection
4" exhaust
instrumentation
A good tuner.

There are plenty other small things that need to be done, but this is a start.

If you are asking the question, you need to read and research. Spend some time in the Single Turbo section.

This sounds like my setup mine makes 520rwhp at back wheels with gt45 turbo on 20pd boost at 7700rpm

Would do 600+ on 24pd but this sort of power is to much for street driveing.

MY car runs on e85 to water injection aswell but dont use this no more doesen need it.

I use haltech sport 2000
hi6 crane cdi's
92x coils crane
1700 bosch injectors
13b re cosmo motor
um there so much stuff to much to name
Hec 715 trailing coils
Engine is not doweled don't need it
Ceramic power seals
Alloy rad
elc water pump
race plugs
large street port for plates to the max and huge square ports for rotor houseing
rebuild kit mazda
fule lines
rotary guru diff
s4 turbo gearbox

2 044 bosch pumps
1 carter pre pump

List goes on and on and on

Juangvb 03-15-13 11:25 PM

Definitely do a street port!

Just found this post by mistake!
Think I am closer to 700 RWHP now than 600 RWHP.....all I need is my clutch to do its job! That's my latest struggle.
