3rd gen seats in a 1st gen

Hey does anybody know if 3rd gen seats will fit in a 1st
or 2nd gen. I know the 1st and 2nd gen seats are
interchangable but i want 3rd gen seats. Thanks

Matt,
I tried to do that about three years ago. First you have to modify the rails. FB passenger inner rail is at an angle. First gen cars have the "hump" on the passenger side. By the time I was done modifying the seats, they were too high for anybody, I even reclined the back part to a crazy angle. It was too dangerous. If you hit a bump or something your head would hit the ceiling. I sold my seats to a second gen owner and it actually worked for him. I would assume because FCs are a little wider.
