3rd Gen Corner seal question...
I'm rebuilding a third gen engine... after I put in the first three corner seals in the front of the front rotor, put the front housing on, I noticed the service manual said to put the chamferred side down on the corner seals... so I looked closely at the corner seals and it does have a very very slight chamfer on one side... so I installed all 9 of the rest of the corner seals correctly... not sure if I got the first 3 in the right way by chance or not... anybody know if installing the corner seals with the chamfer side up is ok? Thanks for your help...

i dont think it makes a noticable difference, we've built plenty of motor and never knew about this, they run fine

We've usually replaced just the rubber plugs on rebuilds.  These things just don't wear at all.  It's obvious which side should go in first when they are used.
