2nd or 3rd Gen?

Ok this question is probably stupid but I will ask anyway. I’m planning to put the 20b into RX7. Now the question is which RX7 second gen RX7 or Third gen. My main factor is the handling capabilities Here is the question: it the money is not a question which Rx7 (2nd or 3rd gen) you can make handle the best.

It depends to what you want out of the Rx-7, the 3rd gen has a sleaker design and has more after market suspension products for it. The 2nd gen is good, but the 3rd gen is my recommendation to drop the 20b in. I believe the 3rd gen can also handle bigger rims and more sportier tires.

If you want to autocross your 20b engine try the 1st gen especially a gsl-se engine bay. 1st gens are light and you can put some tokico racing 5 way adjustable shocks on it.

The 3rd Gen is a better handling car, but when you put the 20 B in it that may change......there isn't as much space in the engine compartment of a 3rd Gen.....the 2nd Gen is cheaper......you can install the 3rd Gen wheel on the 2nd Gen as well. Hopefully that helps some.
