1989 rx-7 running issues????help
Hi
I got an 89' rx-7 non turbo 5 spd
major problem is that after a good rev through first the motor goes into a limp mode and any more than a 1/20 throttle "in gear" will make the car stumble badly. I have replaced most sensor maf.mop etc could it be the metering oil pump still is a problem there $1300 new so I dont want to get a new one if thats not the problem. all schematics have been gone through and everyone is stumped. Been about a year with this problem. Also a little bit of the cat back is kind of missing (mufflers) When first started i have never heard a better, smoother revvy motor in my life, but once you get on it's busted when the ses light comes on
Any comments or suggestions would be great I would love to have it moving for my christmas present
Thanks
Brian

the oil pump is the only thing that will put it into limp mode.
but get the codes to see why the light is comming on
