1987 Rx7 Fc (non-turbo) Fuel pump help!!!
Hello everyone, I’m new to this website, and I’ve just started working on my fathers old Rx7 thats been sitting in my garage for 15 years. Last month i cleaned everything out and it appears everything we’ve done is working so far and running smoothly, but i have a quick question on my fuel pump. The engine turns over when the battery is charged, all the belts move, but I need to purchase a new battery soon once i find out how difficult it is going to be to repair this. When I turn the key I dont hear the fuel pump make any sound which leads me to believe theres something wrong with it, and the car wont start. I am confused on how to take the fuel pump out of the gas tank. i drained all of the gas out of the tank, but i took a picture of where im supposed to remove the fuel pump from and i dont understand how im supposed to take the wires out or remove the blue line that goes down and connects somewhere to the pump. Anything will help, thanks!

the fuel pump doesnt turn on until you crank the car, there is a fuel pump test connector if you want to verify it though.
but if its been sitting that long, pretty much definitely it needs to be replaced.
