13b gsle housing ok to use?

I have a housing where it look like a seal let loose and need to know if it is ok to use? If so can i lightly sand it with emery cloth and lapping compound?

That looks fine as long as there isn't any high spot.

No there isn't any high spot. Should i lap it or leave it alone?

If a straight edge doesn't get caught on it I'd leave it alone.
