I'm considering buying at rx-7 that has a rebuilt 12a engine in it. I know it doesn't have a turbo but what would be my options as to a turbo. My friend said the 12a wasn't made to have a turbo but I'd like to have a second option. Also if I couldnt put a turbo on the 12a how much would an engine swap cost me to go to a 1.3 L 13b? any info would be much appreciated...

welcome to the forum. perhaps you hould go to the 1st gen section and try a search on what you want. at any rate, you would be ok in turboing your 12A. a blowthrough turbo is a good start as wellas porting. i guess it depends on your budget and how much time you want to put into the car. a second gen TII would be good if you don't have the time or patience to do what you want to do.
