12a dies unexpectedly
My 1984 12a rx7 gs was running great and it still does but it is unrelyable. When driving no matter what rpm, the engine will die randomly. Sometimes it starts back up sometimes it doesn't. It seems like a lack of fuel but it doesn't hezitate to die, and it doesn't sputter, it just dies. I think it might be the wires going to the fuel pump or the actual ignition key wiering. I know that sounds weird but my ignition is really jank and worn out and I was told that it might happen because the bad soldering. Give me your advice on what I should fix first.

I bought the car last month and he said it has been changed resently and I check and it looks fine. I think I have found the problem, I took off the fuel pump and tested the volts and I got 10 then hooked the working pump to it and I got none. So I think it is a loose connection(when pushing a load on a weak connection it drops voltage to 0). Tell me if I'm wrong.
To wesx7.
This sounds almost like what my 84 GSL is doing. Sometimes it will not die completely but the RPM's cut in half and I need to floor it to keep going.
Testing the fuel pump next.
Thank you.
