Exclamation 02 sensor question?? need anwser

Hi

i have an 87 t2 and i cant get the car to idle or run right (has compression) for that matter i have replaced all of the fuel injectors and had them cleaned replaced wireing vac lines and now i have discovered that the o2 sensor is unpluged. Is there a way to test the o2 sensor its only has 1 wire. and If i didnt have it pluged in could it cause this kinda of problem where it will not idle or run right and floods alot. thanks

yes chris, thats exactly what it will cause. The 02 sensor detects the A/f ratio of the engine and the ECU compensates accordingly by adding more or less fuel to maintain the perfect a/f ratio at all RPMS. With it not plugged in, the car will be overfuelling horribly and flood up.

plugi t back in, it should work ok.

How about if you just want to replace it with a wideband? Can you just unscrew the stock o2 and put the wideband o2 in?
