*Help* I have a idle at 7000rpm and climbing

I installed a cut off switch last night to help a hot start problem I had and after doing so it worked great, I still had a wierd idle between 1000 and 1500, then all the sudden it went to 4000 and climbed to 7000 rpm, I reset the ECU and checked my intake for leaks but I have no clue why its stuck so high, linkage seem o.k., Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks Eric

Post this question in the appropriate generation-specific forum. It also helps to know which generation RX-7 you have.
