I just got my new FD from a friend of my uncles. He sold it cheap because the dealer told him he fried his new motor, only 20,000 miles. Well I was just checking over the coolant system before sending it to Dee and I noticed something wierd. The system does lose some coolant, but when I was looking around I saw a cap laying in a hole. It was a filler neck cap I believe. It was flat and looked like my old one. The kicker is from what I can remember they are supposed to be only flat, and the ast cap has a spring like cap. Well if I am right, then the cap on the filler neck is WRONG, because it too has the spring like think just like the ast. So can anyone tell me if I am right, and maybe it is loosing coolant because it is loosing pressure because the idiots at the dealer put the wrong cap on? Thanks in advance.
