After sanding most of the underside of the rear of the car, I sprayed advanced auto bed liner under the floor of rear. Of course, this is after removing gas tank and moving fuel lines. Since the battery has been relocated to the rear of the vehicle, had the new ground cleaned with sander, adding dielectric grease on contacts, torqued down and also covered the lead with the bed liner.

The differential was fitted with solid derlin bushings. Ordered from company on e-Bay for under $40. The fit is extremely tight. Emphasis EXTREMELY. I would recommend for anyone doing this, since this piece is heavy and awkward, use some heat and block of wood with sledge. I used a 2 or 3 pound sledge, with a 4x4 block...with some aggressive persuasion, and several rests, finally got them seated square. The ride with them, to me, was not as severe as some stories told. I guess if you are looking for some modern touring sedan quiet lexus feel, this isn't going to cut the mustard. But, for a sure grip, pavement ripping, no give feel.. these make the car hook hard, but rear skated sideways a few times quickly.

I was surprised how clean the underside of the car was. Many of the parts underneath looked like they could have been from a 07, not 87. Although, I don't plan on having the car see anything that looks like a road during the Wisconsin winter season, you can believe that rust will one day change this surface's look. I can always show the pictures of how she once looked.... lol
