Most years since 2015 we have met at Langley Cineplex as starting point for our Sevens Day cruises. White FB was up from Lynnwood. Brun-out marks are from those V8 guys, I swear. One FD came in from Nelson, B.C., a glorious drive through the Western Rockies!

Gap in the mountains allow late evening sun into the town. It was dark as we left, but Highway 7 was recently fully repaved, lines painted and lots of relectors on posts to gather the way. Dramatic "touge" with line of cars lights stretching over a kilometer. Almost a private highway for 60 kilometers.

Section from Maple Falls to Mt. Baker had the "tail of the dragon" vibe. Undulations in the road gave the suspension a work out but without bottoming out.

In summer a road goes beyond the ski lifts to a high mountain viewing area. The road is carved out of steep slopes with no shoulder or guard barriers (gulp!). We left the peak likely 30 minutes before the first blizzard of the year.
