After 2nd treatment. Trust me it’s hard to get the top treated and I don’t recommend it. Buy a kit that comes with a coating. I regret not just coating after treatments tank will tend to flash rust so you have to coat the tank fast with thin oil or diesel fuel. Or paint if you got a tank restoration kit.
