I would buy it if the inlet were larger. I would also prefer that the inlet started further towards the front so the slope is longer, I am thinkin it would be able to draw more air that way, same theory as when you port your intake/exhaust ports. Looks real nice though. I will buy if you can make the changes.

 

Here is it on a car, but keep in mind this car is going to be painted.

 

There is not alot of room under the cover so if you wanted a larger inlet be prepared to do some cutting of the headlight support. It was designed to fit without any modifications to the headlight support. but I will look into the starting point of the intake slope.

I know that theres not alot of height to work with, it just looked like from the pics that it wasnt very wide. Anyways, I am assuuming that you are stamping actual covers, not fabbing them (explains the core requirement)? If so, I guess you could stamp the ones we send you, then get the same one back? (To save the painting process)

there IS NOT much room for a larger opening, i've
developed different shapes,,NACA ducts,,i charge $ 10.00 dollors, un-painted ,the buyer picks up all shipping
and sends a lid,I use there lid,,people like that better..
but,,looking good man,, well done ,.

 

This duct was to wide (big) this one is the prototype.

It is still early in Cali........... perhaps you are not fully awake.

 

There is not much to it..thats why its only $ 10.00 dollors
and people will pay a reasonable amount for it.. so why
not..?? ask an arm and a leg, and nobody will buy the
product,or service...the customer picks up ALL the shipping,,to and from,,and furnish the part to be done.
I preform the service,send it back to the customer COD
un-painted,,easy,,i also can do different shapes too..
THE DUCT CAN NOT BE VERY LARGE,BECAUSE OF SPACE
LIMITS..

 

This is made out of -glass, but the inlet is much bigger. I found it on Ebay.

 

I will be able to look at enlarging the opening tonight. ...On the cost differences to Perez`s $10.00 light covers and mine, I am not sure how he does his but mine takes a while to make, cutting it out, welding in new sides, supports and sanding and smoothing the bondo to a factory look then priming. All I know is it takes time to make them and for $75.00 painted its a steal, just the paint materials costs almost 25.00. the fiberglass one above is selling on ebay for 150.00 unpainted.
