That's exactly why it won't sell well. I won't say "never sell" 'cause there's some dude that'll pay that much for it, but a lower price will yield more product sold and more products sold yield more coin in the pocket.

I agree that the Fiberglass one at $150.00 is too pricy but I feel $75.00 painted is a extremely fair price.

That light lid on ebay,,sure does look good to me.
i like it..but for $ 150.00 dollors,,,keep it
what part about it is really worth that kind of money..??
i do it the same as you,,draw the pattern on the lid,
i use a dremmel,w/a cut off wheel,make 3 cuts,and use metal that i solder,(weld)on from the underside for the sides( i'm a soldering God) and i use epoxy,,i hate bondo,allways have,allways will..i don't go crazy. there
isn't really much filling to do,,theres a bit though.sand
the areas then through some primer on it ..and thats it.
it's easy-er for the customer to match the colours, then
it is for me to try too.so i don't worry, or fool with any
painting..that brings down the cost,,total time about
1 week,,it takes less then 1 hour to cut, and solder..
so $10.00 dollors an hour,,ain't bad..people can afford
that too,,,it works out for everybody

Just cuz someone else sells a similar product for less doesnt meen you need to waiver on your price. What you offer is a good deal, for sure! if mine wasnt made from Carbon fiber Id buy one!

138$ for a new one. They will stamp yours for about $50. Then no painting!!. Just have to drive around w/ no cover for a week or so.

just a quick thought, you say there isnt room for one big duct. is there room for a few small ones to the sides or front of the big one? like have a couple of smal ones in the front and then the one big one behind? or anything of this nature?

If you could make the second one in the bottom row as long as the one to the left of it, that would be great. How big will the actual hole in the back of the lid be?
