Question fuel injector removal

I am trying to pop out the primary fuel injectors. I try to twist and pull them out but they do not want to come out.

I don't want to break the plastic by pulling too hard.

Shouldn't they pull straight out?

I feel like an idiot posting this but if there are any tricks to undoing these, please advise.

they are tough to remove -
there is no real trick (at least that i know of)
if i remember correctly, when i removed them, i used a pair of long needle noses, and pulled on them while rotating

I pulled on the damn thing twisting it back and forth and it will not come out

I used a pair of pliers and made some gouges in the plastic. But it still won't come out.

I guess I'll try some more.

I know I am getting ahead of myself, but I have to ask, is there a trick to get it back in?

I just got it out. Almost banged up my hand as it gave suddenly and came out.

Yea, I had to grunt and groan to get mine out. If I remember right, I had to pry on opposite sides of each one with small, flathead screwdrivers to finally get them out.

I removed the fuel rail and used a socket on the other side as a battering ram. BEWARE as this this can break the plastic cap on the tip of the injector!
