Confused in Intercooler land?
I want to find a cheap FMIC, Ive told NPR is a decent one for cheap... But when I call the yard, what do I ask for, like as in what years, and what is the size of the small one? People say theres a large and small one?
Will one of these do up to 17 psi? I doubt I'll push my turbo past 15psi.. But anyways, any help would be appreciated.
I wanna go pick one up today, I called a place and they said they have a shitload of different kinds/sizes, please be more specific no returns, unless its bad...

I think the little one is what I need, the big one looks like a bitch to fit in a FB

I have the little one on my car. This thing is sweet. I had to cut some stuff up a little to make it work, but I'm happy with it.
Altogether it cost me about $650.
If I make some WOT pulls at 12psi, get out and pop the hood the inlet piping will burn your hands...the outlet it cool as ice.

this is in a convertable. the IC was mounted "upsidedown" to avoid any cutting. didnt want it to look like my TII did after i was done with that. (i had to do some hacking to get pipes to fit under the hood. )
BTW....that is the large NPR stuffed in there...

Imagination?
My mind is aflood with rivulets of creativivity cascading into a deep pool of imaginative solutions....
A friend of mine used piping from JC Whitney (sp?) and had it all welded up and polished. Looked pretty good!

Hey Mike,
Just FYI, I have the 16 row NPR intercooler (the small one) in my first gen. It fits perfrectly between the front tubular frame support and the front upper cross member.

rx7kid- exact name is an "intercooler"
it is off of an "Isuzu NPR" or from an "NRR" depending on what endtanks you want/ need for your application without hacking them off an making your own.
years...check for anywhere newer than 1995 1/2.
mike-p-28--your best bet is a dismanteler. (spelling?)
