Hmmm I was looking at the air box area and I don't think
there is going to be much room there for anything more
than a cone filter,,, but that's a few days away for me.
worked on wiring routing all evening tonight and there is
still lots more to do,,, guess that gives me something to
do while I wait for the drive shaft..

I'm in San Francisco and the car has been in the works for a LONG time. Hope to have it done by the end of the summer, if not end of the yaer. Though realistically by the time internal engines become illegal to operate. The car is an 88 10th Anniversery. Engine is finally being built now at Pineapple Racing.

Engine:
Large street port
Probably a dry sump system
Hurley 3mm
As bullet proof as Rob can make it
Polished and powdercoated
Fuel/induction/ECU system yet to be determined
A LONG ways to go

Car so far:
Major diet
Tri-Point Engineering flare kit
RE Amemiya FC 2000 front bumper
Should fit 17x11's in front and 17x12's out back
Kaaz diff
Diff mount welded together
Aluminum driveshaft
Jericho 5-speed dog box
Koni dual adj. custom valved & dynoed by Tri-Point
500 lb. front 275 lb. rear
Delrin wherever it can be
Adj. rear sway bar w/ eurathane & adj. links
14" rotors with alum. hat in front
6 POT AP racing calipers up front
Stainless lines
Front camber/caster
Rear camber
Subframe connector
Manual rack
K2RD mounts
6 - point roll cage
A LONG ways to go

Don't have the engine yet to mount a starter on since it is still being built. I think I recall Rob at Pineapple telling me that since the 5-speed is a shift rail type, it would clear the starter. If I need an adapter I can mill one at my shop if there are none available or are to pricy.

Yes, I am considering it. They have rather sloppy shifting, and the models with the .5 6th gear can't handle enough torque, so I would have to use a .62 or .75 6th gear model and an aftermarket rear end. I'm not sure if it would be so great for high revs. It doesn't cost very much, though.

Who sells an adapter?

where have you found the prices on those at?
also what would you do with the rear end? use a different one or just make a custom driveshaft?

I've asked about the T-56 before and I got the impression that the T-56 could handle the HP and Torque but the really high revs would kill it.

The .5 6th gear ones are rated for 550lbs/ft of torque. And I know thats conservative because a friend put one behind somewhat built 454 and hes hard on it.

As far as an adapter there was a thread for one in the 2nd gen forum around the begining of the year I think. I was contemplating one for my NA. I lost the link to the web page when my hard drive crapped out. So I would need to find it again. Hopefully its still in archive if nothing else. Ill try to find it.
